Description
The Ingersoll Rand 285B-S6 is a heavy duty 1 inch class air impact wrench with a #5 spline drive and a 6 inch extended anvil. It is built for shops that run #5 spline sockets on heavy truck, equipment and industrial fasteners, with 1,475 ft-lb of reverse torque on tap.
This is the #5 spline anvil version of the 285B-6, with a splined 6 inch anvil in place of the 1 inch square drive. It measures 20.4 inches long and weighs 27.8 lb, with a swept-back D-handle that keeps it easy to maneuver.
The rocking dog mechanism and 6-vane motor hit 700 blows per minute with a 5,250 rpm free speed, so each blow lands hard on modest air. A steel hammer case and metal housing stand up to drops and rough shop conditions, and the feather-touch trigger gives you smooth control.
