Built for impact wrench work, this 1/2" drive 17mm deep socket clears long bolt threads and reaches recessed fasteners that a shallow socket can't. The 6 point opening grips the flats of the fastener instead of the corners, so you can lean on the impact without rounding it off.
The 2017MD measures 3.27 in (83 mm) overall with a 1.02 in (26 mm) outside diameter and 2.60 in (66 mm) of bolt clearance. Chrome-molybdenum alloy steel and a High Torque drive design work together here: pressure moves to the thicker part of the wall, so the socket takes up to 20% more torque than a standard hex impact socket.
