Heavy hauling is where cheap trailer tires give up. The Omni Trail Powersteel AST is built for commercial grade heavy duty industrial hauling, and the all-steel construction is the reason: steel body plies and belts carry load and shed heat in a way a nylon-bodied trailer tire cannot.
This is the ST235/85R16 in Load Range G, 14 ply rated, carrying 4400 lbs single or 3860 lbs dual at 110 PSI, standing 31.7 inches tall with 10.0/32 of tread. Sidewall protection ribs in the upper buttress take the curb abrasion that opens up an ordinary sidewall, and integrated stone ejectors keep rocks from working into the casing.
Backed by American Omni's 25/365 no questions asked replacement policy and a 72 month limited warranty, plus free 2 year roadside assistance. Trailer service only, and it should not be mounted on a light truck.
