The TR425 is the long and wide one. Two inches of effective length paired with the larger .625 inch valve hole, which makes it the answer for deep-drop wheels where a standard stem sits too far down to get a chuck on, and for the large-bore rims found on some European vehicles, older domestic wheels, and light commercial equipment.
The body is EPDM rubber with a brass core, it installs snap-fit with a straight profile, and it's rated to 65 PSI maximum cold inflation. EPDM matters here: it resists ozone, UV and temperature swings far better than natural rubber, which is what keeps a stem from cracking three summers in. Fifty to the box, which is shop quantity for a bay that mounts tires every day.
Features
- Replaces an aged or cracked stem at mount time, the cheapest way to avoid a slow leak or a flat that comes back on you.
- Runs 2 inches long (50.8mm) in a straight, snap-fit profile, giving the reach that deep-drop and recessed valve pockets need.
- Fits the larger .625 inch (15.875mm) rim hole, covering European, older domestic and large-bore commercial wheels that a .453 stem won't seal.
- EPDM rubber body with a brass core, a compound that shrugs off ozone and temperature extremes instead of hardening and cracking.
- Rated to 65 PSI maximum cold inflation, covering standard passenger and light truck pressures, and it seats with a standard valve pulling tool.
