Molded bristles instead of wire, which is why this one has quietly replaced the wire wheel on a lot of benches. The 3M Scotch-Brite Roloc Bristle Disc 07525 strips gaskets, rust, paint, adhesive and weld discoloration off metal and leaves the base material where it belongs. Nothing flies back at the operator because there are no wire filaments to throw.
The abrasive is molded right through the nylon bristles, so fresh sharp grain keeps coming as the bristles wear down. The bristles flex into contours, radiuses and detail areas that a flat disc skips over, and the Roloc TR button twist locks onto the pad in about a second.
- Strips gaskets, rust, scale, paint, adhesive and weld burn without gouging or undercutting the metal underneath.
- 80 grade yellow ceramic and aluminum oxide bristles, 2 inch diameter with a 5/8 inch tapered center, rated to 25,000 RPM.
- Twist locks onto a 2 inch Roloc TR pad such as the 3M 05539 disc pad assembly, ready for a die grinder or drill. The 80 grade works well on aluminum and softer metals where a coarser disc would cut too deep.
- Injection molded nylon bristles carry abrasive all the way through and flex around curves and tight detail without wire filaments to break loose.
- Sold as a single disc for easy restocking of the grade you actually use.
