The Xtra Seal 13-623 is a lead wire insert for filling 3/8" (10 mm) injuries in passenger and truck tires, radial or bias ply. Its rubber stem is dip coated in premium blue vulcanizing gum, so it cures chemically or in a heat system and vulcanizes into the tire.
No special insert tools are needed: clean the injury channel with a carbide cutter, then pull the insert through from the inside out with its lead wire and cut off the wire. Seal the inner liner with a repair unit as well, since industry repair guidelines do not accept a stem on its own as a complete repair.
